Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 3, 2026

Summary: Calculator inputs are processed in your browser and are not sent to our servers. We do use Google services (analytics, advertising and translation) and other third-party tools that may set cookies and collect technical data such as your IP address. This policy explains what, why, and your choices.

1. Information We Collect

Calculator inputs. Dates, measurements and selections you enter into our calculators are processed by JavaScript in your browser. We do not receive or store them on our servers. Some tools save data on your own device (see “Local storage” below).

Technical data collected automatically. When you visit, our hosting provider and the third-party services listed below may receive your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring page, and approximate location derived from your IP address.

Newsletter. If you subscribe, we collect your email address. The form is processed by our hosting provider's form service (Netlify Forms), which stores the submission so that we can send you our newsletter. We use your email only for that purpose and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Contact form. If you contact us through the form, we receive your name, email address, subject and message through the same form service. We use them only to respond to you. Please do not include sensitive medical details.

Quick-answers assistant. The chat widget gives pre-written answers in your browser. Your questions are not sent to us. The conversation may be kept in your browser's local storage until you clear it.

2. Cookies, Local Storage and Similar Technologies

  • Consent choice (local storage key bhw_consent) — remembers whether you accepted or declined optional cookies.
  • Theme preference (bh-theme) — remembers light/dark mode.
  • Saved cycle data (bhw_cycle, ovulation calculator) and chat history (bhChat) — stored only in your browser on your device, not sent to us. You can remove them by clearing your browser's site data.
  • Analytics and advertising cookies — set by Google if enabled (see sections 3 and 4). Optional cookies are intended to stay off until you click “Accept” on our cookie banner; clicking “Decline” keeps analytics and ad storage denied and requests non-personalized ads.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the site work.

3. Analytics (Google Analytics)

We use Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) to understand how visitors use the site, such as pages viewed and time on page. Google may process your IP address, device and browser information and approximate location. Google Analytics is configured to respect your cookie choice on pages where it is loaded. Learn how Google uses data: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

4. Advertising (Google AdSense) and Affiliate Links

We may show ads through Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and similar identifiers to serve and measure ads, limit how often you see an ad, and prevent fraud. If you accept optional cookies, ads may be personalized based on your prior visits to this and other sites; otherwise we request non-personalized ads. You can manage personalized advertising in Google Ad Settings or at aboutads.info/choices. We do not send the contents of your calculator inputs to Google or advertisers.

Some pages contain affiliate links (for example “Buy on Amazon” links on our supplement pages). If you click an affiliate link, the retailer may set cookies and we may earn a commission from qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you. See our Editorial Policy.

5. Other Third-Party Services

  • Google Translate — an optional language widget loaded from Google on many pages. When it loads, Google may receive your IP address and set cookies, and the page text is sent to Google when you translate.
  • Google Fonts and jsDelivr (Bootstrap and icon files) — fonts and code libraries are loaded from these providers, which receive your IP address and browser details when files are requested.
  • Netlify — hosting and form handling; may keep server logs including IP addresses.
  • Social media links (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, X, YouTube) are plain links; those services apply their own policies if you visit them.

6. How We Use and Share Information

We use information to operate and secure the site, understand and improve it, respond to messages, send the newsletter you asked for, and show ads and affiliate links that help fund the site. We do not sell your email address or contact-form details. We share data with the service providers listed above and where required by law. Under some laws (for example the CCPA/CPRA), cookie-based advertising can be considered “sharing” of data; you can decline optional cookies using our banner or the opt-outs above.

7. Retention and Security

Newsletter and contact messages are kept while needed for those purposes or until you ask us to delete them. Analytics and advertising data are retained according to Google's settings and policies. We use reasonable measures to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

8. Health Information and HIPAA

Bloom Health Woman is a consumer health information website and is not a covered entity under HIPAA. We do not intentionally collect health records. Please avoid sending sensitive health details through the contact form. No doctor–patient relationship is created by using this site.

9. Children's Privacy

This site is intended for people aged 18 and over and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live (for example California or the EU/UK), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object to certain processing of your personal information, and to opt out of the sale/sharing of personal information. To make a request, email support@bloomhealthwoman.com. We will respond as required by applicable law. Because we hold little personal information directly, some data (such as Google analytics or ad data) must be managed with Google using the links above.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
